This resource is a PowerPoint that I print out and use as a work booklet. It is a Formal Art Elements work booklet, which can be used as an activity as part of learning about Formal Art Elements, as a stand alone project for substitute teaching or as an Initial Assessment task. The resource covers the Formal Art Elements: Texture Colour Line Tone Space Shape Form Pattern Students are require to show texture via frottage (rubbings), add primary and secondary colours, fill a box with different lines etc.

This is a resource I use with students completing a Functional Skills - English/Literacy course. It is a Speaking and Listening assessment task, where students have to roleplay for 5 minutes making a phone call (ordering a takeaway). This resource could be used for SEN students, to support them with the Speaking and listening course criteria.

This is a resource I use for SEN students completing Art sessions. At the beginning of the year, the students state what their EHCP Art goal is and how they will achieve it in sessions. This goal is then reviewed again half way through the year and again at the end of the year to measure progress and achievement. (See accompanying Art EHCP goal review sheet.)

This is a 4 page resource can be used for students that require support in building social skills, such as students with Autism or Entry Level 1-3. Students can cut out the various listening skills and then sort them into good listening skills and poor listening skills and stick them under the appropriate headings. Example listening skills include: Interrupting as they are talking Looking at the person talking Yawning and telling them how bored you are This resource could be used for students completing a Travel Training course, as students are encouraged to work on their social skills when in the local community; or used as evidence towards the Rarpa, PfA - Preparing for Adulthood target of Friends, Relationships & Community Skills.

This is a 1 page resource that can be used for students that require support in building social skills, such as students with Autism or Entry Level 1-3. Students can complete a quick 5 question quiz about social scenarios. This could be used a starter task before discussing/role-playing how to be polite in social situations. This is a resource I use for students that require Travel Training sessions. In order to develop transferable skills, students are required to plan journeys on public transport. This resource is a scenario where students can plan a trip to their local HMV store. You just need to add the appropriate info (street names etc.) for your local area! It gives advice to students of things they need to consider when planning their journey. It also encourages budgeting skills
